I'm not a hat wearer, like a lot of people, so I've never paid much attention to details or issues in picking a good hat. Now that I'm losing my hair I've found that a good hat is almost mandatory; especially when driving my '96 Corvette convertible. This is the fourth hat I've purchased in the last year or so, and it is one of the best I have. First, I love the Jake logo, which -- in my mind -- is a good hat for any Corvette owner or fan of the racing team. Second, the material and craftsmanship of this hat seems to be top quality. I worried that it might be too cheaply done but that fear disappeared within 5 minutes of opening the package.

As far as baseball style hats, I think this one has the common features that most wearers will want. The bill is sturdy, maintains its shape, and provides sufficient coverage to help keep the sun out of your eyes. The material for the hat itself is fairly heavy, which means it should wear well for a long time. Of course, on a hot day the material will not be as cool as other material, but that's a trade-off most folks will be willing to make. I keep the hat in my car and wear it a couple times a week.
